Seneca Drive, Solon Roof Replacement

The homeowner’s roof had reached the end of its serviceable life and was experiencing active leaks. The existing ridge ventilation was inadequate and the property’s skylight had developed fogging between the panes, a sign of failed seals and moisture infiltration that compromises both visibility and insulation performance. With the roof already in need of full replacement, addressing the skylight and ventilation at the same time was the logical and cost effective approach.

Python Roofing performed a complete tear-off and replacement of the entire roof system. The existing ridge vent was replaced with a new continuous ridge vent to ensure proper balanced airflow throughout the attic. The fogged skylight was removed and replaced with a new unit featuring an integrated solar-powered retractable shade, providing both natural light control and improved energy efficiency. The new roofing system was installed with RhinoRoof granulated ice & water shield 6 feet up at all eaves, in valleys, and around penetrations, paired with RhinoRoof U20 synthetic underlayment across the full deck. Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles in Onyx Black were installed per manufacturer guidelines, giving the home a bold, classic look with excellent curb appeal and long term durability.
