Orchard Ave, Parma Roof Replacement
Insurance Claim Roof Replacement
Owens Corning Duration Shingles - Colonial Slate
The Problem
This homeowner had sustained storm damage and needed a full roof replacement. During the initial inspection it became clear that the scope of work went beyond just the shingles — the rear of the house and portions of the front porch had extensive decking deterioration. The existing 1×8 board decking was rotted and could not provide adequate nail holding capacity for a new roofing system. Python Roofing met with the insurance adjuster on the homeowner’s behalf and successfully got the full replacement approved.
The Scope & Materials
Python Roofing performed a complete tear-off and replacement of the entire roof. Deteriorated 1×8 board decking on the rear of the house and front porch sections was removed and replaced with new 1/2″ OSB sheeting to provide a solid, code-compliant foundation for the new roofing system. A total of 26 sheets of decking were replaced during the project. The new roofing system included RhinoRoof granulated ice & water shield and RhinoRoof U20 synthetic underlayment, followed by Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles in Colonial Slate installed per manufacturer guidelines. Python Roofing handled all insurance coordination from inspection through final approval, ensuring the homeowner received the full scope of repairs she was entitled to.
"10/10 I can’t recommend this company highly enough. They were fantastic to work with. They kept on top of things throughout the insurance process. Nick was very patient with all my questions. The team who did the actual installation was polite and professional. They were also really careful to protect my flowerbeds while they were working and did a great job with clean up."
